A bill to promote dairy farm efficiency by restructuring the milk marketing order and subsidy system.
Dairy Farm Efficiency Promotion Act of 1984 - Amends the Agricultural Act of 1949 to reduce the milk price support level over a period of six years after enactment of this Act.
Authorizes the Attorney General (currently, only the Secretary of Agriculture) to prosecute antitrust violations by agricultural cooperatives.
Amends the Agricultural Adjustment Act (1933) to terminate its marketing provisions with regard to milk on June 1, 1992.
Grants to any person, including consumers, the standing to challenge marketing order regulations.
Sets the milk price for use classification.
Amends the Rural Development Act of 1972 to establish a loan program for dairy conversions. Authorizes the Secretary of Agriculture to provide loans to convert dairy farms into nondairy endeavors.
