A bill to amend title XVI of the Social Security Act to increase from 25 dollars to 35 dollars a month the amount of the personal allowance which is presently provided for eligible individuals and eligible spouses who are in medical institutions.

Amends title XVI (Supplemental Security Income) of the Social Security Act to increase the maximum amount of personal allowance provided for an eligible individual and an eligible spouse who are in a medical institution from $300 to $420 annually for an eligible individual and from $600 to $840 annually if both are institutionalized.
