A bill to amend title 10, United States Code, to provide for more efficient and expeditious disposal of lost, abandoned, and unclaimed property in the custody of the military departments.

Amends the disposition of unclaimed property provisions under general military law to limit to 45 days the period during which diligent efforts to find the rightful owner must take place before disposition.

Increases from $25 to $300 the fair market value of property required to be held an additional time in storage before disposition. Decreases from three months to 30 days the amount of that additional time.
