Amends the Safe Drinking Water Act (title XIV of the Public Health Service Act) to provide that specified exemptions from contaminant level or treatment technique requirements with respect to barium granted by States to public water systems shall not terminate until one year after the date on which the Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency completes and publishes studies regarding the effects of barium in drinking water on the health of persons.
