A bill to amend the Public Health Service Act to provide assistance for the initiation and expansion of children's preventive health programs.
Children's Preventive Health Act of 1983 - Amends the Public Health Service Act to authorize grants (through the Centers for Disease Control) for children's preventive health programs of: (1) lead poisoning prevention; (2) school-based fluoridation; and (3) new-born infant genetic disease screening.
Sets forth grant application requirements.
Authorizes appropriations for FY 1984 through FY 1986.
