A bill to amend title 18 of the United States Code to provide penalties for the counterfeiting of access devices, and for other purposes.
Counterfeit Access Device and Computer Fraud Act of 1983 - Amends the Federal criminal code to make it a Federal offense to knowingly and unlawfully produce, buy, sell, or transfer a credit card which is counterfeit, forged, lost or stolen. Makes it a Federal offense to produce, buy, sell, transfer or possess equipment used to produce such fraudulent cards or accounts. Prohibits the use of computers with the intent to execute a scheme to defraud.
Authorizes the United States Secret Service to investigate offenses under this section.
