A bill to amend the Internal Revenue Code of 1954 to extend for 5 years the period for which the energy investment credit is allowable with respect to certain long-term projects, and for other purposes.
Energy Tax Credit Extension Act of 1983 - Amends the Internal Revenue Code to extend for five years from 1990 to 1995 the time period for which the energy investment tax credit is allowable with respect to certain long-term projects.
Repeals the termination date for the treatment of certain shale oil property as energy property. (Present law terminated such treatment as of December 31, 1982.)
