A bill to provide for the calculation of the State or county share in case of default on, or extension of, any Federal timber sales contract where payments are required to be made to States or counties in connection with such sales.
County Revenue Protection Act of 1983 - States that moneys received from national forest timber sales which are payable to a State under specified law shall include: (1) amounts received as defaults on sales contracts; (2) all interest penalties; and (3) all other amounts received from any timber sale extension.
Directs the United States to remit the entire interest penalty to States entitled to a share of the revenues of an extended sale.
States that amounts from timber sales which are required by specified law to be deposited into a certain fund shall include all default and interest penalties accruing from the extension of such sale.
