A bill to establish the Christopher Columbus Quincentenary Jubilee Commission.
Christopher Columbus Quincentenary Jubilee Act - Establishes the Christopher Columbus Quincentenary Jubilee Commission to plan, encourage, coordinate, and conduct the commemoration of the voyages of Christopher Columbus. Directs the Commission to submit recommendations to Congress within two years after the first meeting. Directs the President to recommend appropriate legislative and administrative actions.
Requires the Commission to report annually to Congress on its activities, including an accounting of funds received and expended.
Provides for cooperative efforts of Federal agencies and departments, including the Librarian of Congress.
Authorizes appropriations to remain available until November 15, 1992.
Requires the Commission to make a final report to Congress no later than November 15, 1992, and terminates the Commission on such date.
Recognizes the World's Fair to be held in Chicago, Illinois, and Seville, Spain, in 1992 as a major highlight of the quincentenary celebration.
