A joint resolution calling upon the President to affirm and maintain his commitment not to undercut existing strategic arms agreements so long as the Soviet Union shows equal restraint.

States that the President should: (1) affirm his statement of May 31, 1982, that the United States will refrain from actions which undercut existing strategic arms agreements so long as the Soviet Union shows equal restraint; and (2) advise the Congress on how his existing plans for forces covered by existing agreements are consistent with the provisions of those agreements.
