Directs the President to: (1) begin efforts to replace the U.S. Marines as a part of the multinational force with troops from another nation; or (2) as an alternative, seek the replacement of the multinational force, including the U.S. Marines, with a U.N. peacekeeping force.
Requires the President, in the event the purposes of this Act have not occured within 60 days of the date of enactment, to redeploy by the ninetieth day from the date of enactment the U.S. Marines currently stationed in Lebanon on ships of the Sixth Fleet. Provides that nothing in this Act shall preclude the assignment of U.S. Marines to rescue U.S. citizens in Lebanon.
