Authorizes the Committee on Governmental Affairs from March 1, 1981, through February 28, 1982, to: (1) make expenditures from the contingent fund of the Senate; (2) employ personnel; and (3) utilize the services of department or agency personnel on a reimbursable basis. Sets forth the limit on expenses by the Committee during such period.
Authorizes the Committee to study or investigate: (1) the efficiency and economy of all branches of government, including national security and energy management; (2) the extent to which improper activities take place in the labor-management field; (3) organized crime utilization of interstate and international commerce and the adequacy of Federal and State laws to prevent such operations; (4) civil and criminal disorder; and (5) all other aspects of lawlessness.
