Establishes in the Senate the Select Committee to Study Law Enforcement Undercover Activities of Components of the Department of Justice. Requires the committee to investigate and study the undercover operations of the Department or any others in connection with such operations, and to recommend legislation as necessary.
Directs the Senate Legal Counsel and Deputy Counsel to work with and under the jurisdiction of the select committee.
Requires the committee to report its findings to the Senate by December 15, 1982, and terminates such committee on January 15, 1983.
