A bill to create a program to combat violent crime in the United States, and for other purposes.
National War on Violent Crime Act - Establishes a Violent Crime Administration within the Department of Justice, headed by an Administrator under the general authority of the Attorney General.
Authorizes the Administrator to make grants for: (1) the establishment and operation of State violent crime planning and coordinating agencies; and (2) specific crime programs of proven effectiveness.
Establishes a National Advisory Board to serve the Administrator and a National Police Academy to encourage career officers.
Authorizes appropriations to carry out this Act.
