A bill to extend the period during which the Secretary of Defense may repay certain educational loans made to persons who serve in the Armed Forces, and for other purposes.
Department of Defense Educational Loan Forgiveness Act of 1981 - Amends the Department of Defense Authorization Act, 1981, to extend educational loan repayment benefits to all members in the Selected Reserve of the Ready Reserve of an armed force serving on active duty before October 1, 1983 (formerly available only to members of the reserve who enlisted before October 1, 1981). Increases the portion of a loan which may be repaid by the Secretary of Defense.
