A bill to require the Director of the Federal Emergency Management Agency to report to the Congress on the National Defense Stockpile, and for other purposes.
Strategic and Critical Minerals Inventory Act of 1982 - Requires the Director of the Federal Emergency Management Agency to report to Congress within 180 days on the National Defense Stockpile. Requires such report to include: (1) an inventory of minerals contained; (2) a list of minerals and where they come from or are produced; (3) the location of reserves of each mineral necessary during a national emergency; and (4) an analysis of the consequences to the United States if the foreign supply of any strategic mineral were cut off.
Authorizes appropriations.
