Securities - Commodities Accord Amendments of 1982 - Amends the Securities Act of 1933, the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, the Investment Company Act of 1940 and the Investment Advisers Act of 1940 to include within the definition of "securities" for the purposes of such Acts any put, call, straddle, option, or privilege on any security, certificate of deposit, or any group or index of securities (including any interest therein or based on the value thereof), or any put, call, straddle, option, or privilege entered into on a national securities exchange relating to foreign currency.
Amends the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 to grant the Securities and Exchange Commission the authority to regulate the trading of any option on a security, on a certificate of deposit, or on any group or index of securities or, if entered into on a national securities exchange, an option on a foreign currency (but not an option on a contract for future delivery).
