Motor Vehicle Safety Amendments Act of 1981 - Amends the National Traffic and Motor Vehicle Safety Act of 1966 to direct automobile manufacturers to install automatic crash protection in passenger automobiles manufactured on or after September 1, 1983.
Directs the Secretary of Transportation to inform the public about the performance and benefits of automatic crash protection.
