A bill to establish a select commission to examine the issues associated with voluntary service.
Select Commission on Voluntary Service Opportunities Act of 1981 - Establishes the Select Commission on Voluntary Service Opportunities.
Sets forth provisions concerning the duties, membership composition, Executive Director and staff, and powers of the Commission.
Directs the Commission to transmit, with recommendations, a final report to the President and to each House of the Congress not later than 15 months after its first meeting. Directs each affected Executive department and agency to submit recommendations to the President for implementing such report. Directs the President to submit, within specified periods, interim and final reports to each House of Congress on the implementation of the Commission's, and of other, recommendations.
Terminates the Commission 180 days after its final report is transmitted.
Authorizes appropriations for fiscal year 1982 to carry out this Act and remain available until expended.
