A bill to provide for penalties for persons who obtain or attempt to obtain narcotics or other controlled substances from any pharmacist by terror, force, or violence, and for other purposes.
Pharmacy Protection and Violent Offender Control Act of 1981 - Amends the Controlled Substances Act to establish penalties for taking or attempting to take by force and violence or intimidation a controlled substance from a pharmacist. Establishes mandatory terms of imprisonment if any person is assaulted, killed, or maimed during commission of the offense.
Requires the Department of Justice to include pharmacy crime data in its annual Uniform Crime Reports.
