A bill to provide penalties for persons who obtain or acquire controlled substances from any pharmacist or distributor of controlled substances by robbery or extortion, and for other purposes.
Pharmacy Protection and Violent Offender Control Act of 1982 - Amends the Controlled Substances Act to establish penalties for obtaining possession of a controlled substance from a pharmacist or distributor by robbery or extortion. Establishes mandatory terms of imprisonment for any person who commits such offense.
Requires the Attorney General to include pharmacy crime data in the annual Uniform Crime Reports.
