A bill to amend the Federal Aviation Act of 1958 to preserve and continue the uniform system of joint fares.
Community Air Service Act of 1982 - Amends the Federal Aviation Act of 1958 to continue Civil Aeronautics Board (CAB) authority to require air carriers to establish just and reasonable joint fares. Transfers the authority of the CAB over joint rates, fares, and charges to the Department of Transportation.
Sets forth procedures concerning the establishment and division of such joint fares.
Terminates the authority of the CAB and the Secretary in regard to such joint rates six years after enactment of this Act.
