A bill to amend the Trade Act of 1974 to eliminate trade adjustment allowances for workers not enrolled in approved training on July 1, 1982, and for other purposes.

Amends the Trade Act of 1974 to allow payment of a trade readjustment allowance for a week beginning after July 1, 1982, to a worker who would otherwise be eligible for the allowance, if: (1) the worker is engaged in job training during such week; (2) the worker's training was approved before the worker began the training; (3) the worker began such training before July 1; and (4) the worker has made satisfactory training progress for that week.
