A bill to amend the Social Security Act to provide that the receipts and disbursements of the social security trust funds shall not be included in the totals of the budget of the United States Government and to provide improvements in the management of such trust funds.
Social Security Trust Funds Amendments of 1982 - Amends titles II (Old Age, Survivors and Disability Insurance) and XVIII (Medicare) of the Social Security Act to prohibit the inclusion of the receipts and disbursements of the social security trust funds (the Federal Old-Age and Survivors Insurance Trust Fund, the Federal Disability Insurance Trust Fund, the Federal Hospital Insurance Trust Fund, and the Federal Supplementary Medical Insurance Trust Fund) in the totals of the Federal budget.
Provides for the appointment to the Board of Trustees of the trust funds of one representative of employers, one representative of employees, one representative of beneficiaries, and one individual highly qualified in the management of investment funds.
