News Media Privacy Protection Act of 1982 - Prohibits any Government employee from using the power to punish for contempt or otherwise to compel any person to: (1) disclose news information obtained for dissemination in a newspaper, magazine, or radio or television broadcast; or (2) identify the source of any such information.
