A bill to amend the Internal Revenue Code of 1954 to provide a refundable credit against income tax for renting to or maintaining a household for certain individuals who have attained the age of sixty-five.
Senior Citizens Housing Act of 1982 - Amends the Internal Revenue Code to allow individuals a refundable income tax credit for renting to, or maintaining a household for, individuals who have attained the age of 65. Limits such credit to a maximum of $1,000.
Requires an individual to be eligible for such tax credit to furnish over half the cost of maintaining the household.
