A bill to provide student assistance benefits to dependents of State and local public safety officers who died in the line of duty, and for other purposes.

Amends the Omnibus Crime Control and Safe Streets Act of 1968 to direct the Law Enforcement Assistance Administration to pay higher education student assistance benefits to the surviving children or spouse of a public safety officer who has died as a direct and proximate result of a personal injury sustained in the line of duty.
