Directs the Secretary of Health and Human Services to develop and implement a program to encourage and assist food manufacturers to voluntarily declare the sodium content in their food products on the product labels.
Requires the Secretary, in consultation with the Secretary of Agriculture, to report to Congress within fifteen months of enactment of this Act on the results of such program. Requires the Secretary, not later than twelve months thereafter, to report to Congress on the adequacy of such program.
