A bill to provide for interim designation of United States attorneys and United States marshals by the Attorney General.

Amends Federal law to authorize the Attorney General (currently, the appropriate district court) to designate a United States attorney or a United States marshal, as the case may be, to fill a vacancy in such offices for a specified time.

Prohibits the Attorney General from designating for either position a person whose nomination by the President was rejected by the Senate.
