A bill to amend title 18 of the United States Code to provide for the assistance of counsel before Federal grand juries in certain cases.
Assistance of Counsel Before Grand Juries Act of 1981 - Amends the Federal criminal code to entitle a witness subpoenaed to testify before a Federal grand jury to be assisted by counsel during questioning. Prohibits such counsel from addressing the Government attorney or otherwise participating in the proceedings. Authorizes the court to remove such counsel.
