Amends the Federal Meat Inspection Act to deem misbranded any imported meat that is not labeled imported.
Requires owners or operators of eating establishments that sell a significant amount of imported meat food products to inform their customers of such fact. Sets forth penalties for failure to comply with this requirement.
Directs the Secretary of Agriculture to issue a proposed rule defining what constitutes a significant amount of imported meat not later than 30 calendar days after the date of enactment of this Act. Sets forth a procedure for reissuance of such proposed rule in the event the appropriate Congressional committees disapprove such rule.
