A bill to amend the Budget and Accounting Act, 1921, to require the President's budget to contain information on debts owed the government, and for other purposes.
Debt Collection Budget Act - Amends the Budget and Accounting Act, 1921, to require that the Budget transmitted by the President to Congress for each fiscal year contain: (1) an estimate of the total amount of outstanding debt and debt in default as of the beginning of the fiscal year for each Federal program for which the outstanding debt is projected to exceed $10,000,000; (2) an estimate of the amount of such debt that will be collected during such fiscal year; and (3) a comparison of the estimated and actual amounts of debt collected during the preceding fiscal year with an explanation for any significant differences.
