Amends the Older Americans Act of 1965 to authorize the Commissioner of the Administration on Aging to make grants to local educational agencies to administer nutritional services demonstration projects for older persons. States that such projects shall: (1) provide for free lunch for older persons at schools providing such lunches to children under the National School Lunch Act; (2) encourage such persons to remain at the schools to provide counseling and supervisory assistance to the students; and (3) furnish to such persons sufficient food for an evening meal.
Requires the Commissioner to submit a report to the Congress based on a study of such projects by September 30, 1983.
Extends the authorization for appropriations under the Older Americans Act of 1965 to October 1, 1983.
