A bill to amend the copyright law to secure the rights of authors of pictorial, graphic, or sculptural works to prevent the distortion, mutilation, or other alteration of such works, and for other purposes.
Visual Artists Moral Rights Amendment of 1981 - Gives the author of a pictorial, graphic, or sculptural work or the author's legal representative the right to claim authorship of such work independently of his or her copyright, to object to any distortion, mutilation or alteration thereof, and to enforce any other limitation recorded in the Copyright Office that would prevent prejudice to the author's honor or reputation during the copyright term.
