Provides for the commemoration by the Congress of the centennial of the birth of Franklin Delano Roosevelt, thirty-second President of the United States. Establishes a Special Joint Committee on the Centennial of the Birth of Franklin D. Roosevelt. Sets forth rules and procedures under which such joint committee shall operate.
Directs the joint committee to arrange for a joint session of the Congress to be held on Saturday, January 30, 1982, to celebrate and commemorate the centennial of the birth of President Roosevelt.
Authorizes the joint committee to acquire manuscripts, photographs, and illustrations as it deems appropriate, including "The Days of Franklin D. Roosevelt: A Chronicle", prepared by Pare Lorentz. Authorizes the printing of 25,000 copies of any such manuscripts acquired.
States that the expenses of the joint committee shall be paid from the contingent fund of the Senate.
