A bill to amend section 5 (e) of the Food Stamp Act of 1977 to remove the ceiling on the excess shelter expense deduction, and for other purposes.

Amends the Food Stamp Act of 1977: (1) to remove the ceiling on the excess shelter expense deduction from household income; and (2) to set a ceiling of $80 on the dependent care deduction, adjustable annually to reflect changes in the Consumer Price Index.
