Amends the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act to impose certain restrictions on oral representations about drugs made to practitioners or pharmacists by persons involved in the manufacture, preparation, processing, or distribution of such drugs.
Prohibits advertising of any drug or device unless the Secretary of Health, Education, and Welfare has first approved such advertising. Specifies the criteria for such approval.
Requires any publication intended for health professionals to identify the source of financial support for the author and the research of such publication.
