Interstate Compact - Grants Congressional consent to the Tahoe Regional Planning Compact between California and Nevada, which concerns the conservation of the waters of Lake Tahoe and of the resources of the area around such lake.
Authorizes the Secretary of Agriculture and the heads of other appropriated agencies, upon the request of the Tahoe Regional Planning Agency, to cooperate with such agency in all respects compatible with carrying out the normal duties of their agencies.
Conditions consent to the compact by the United States on permitting the President to appoint a non-voting representative of the United States to the governing body of the Tahoe Regional Planning Agency.
Declares that nothing contained in this Act or in the compact consented to shall in any way affect the powers, rights, or obligations of the United States, or the applicability of any law or regulation of the United States in, over, or to the region or waters which are the subject of the compact, or in any way affect rights owned or held by or for Indians or Indian tribes subject to the jurisdiction of the United States.
Reserves the right of the Congress or any of its standing committees to require the disclosure and furnishing of such information and data by or concerning the Tahoe Regional Planning Agency as is deemed appropriate by the Congress or such committee.
