An original bill to transfer certain employees of the Architect of the Capitol to the Sergeant at Arms of the Senate.
Transfers certain Senate Garage employees engaged by the Architect of the Capitol to the jurisdiction of the Sergeant at Arms and Doorkeeper of the Senate, with no reduction in basic compensation, effective October 1, 1980.
Provides that unused sick leave to the credit of any such employee shall be included in the total service of such employee for purposes of computation of any annuity.
Authorizes the Architect to make a lump sum payment to each such employee as compensation for accrued annual leave.
Authorizes the Sergeant at Arms and Doorkeeper of the Senate to appoint four garage attendants at a specified salary, effective October 1, 1980. Sets forth a schedule for the salaries of such positions if they are filled by individuals transferred by this Act.
