Requires that the Director of the National Park Service be appointed by the President, by and with the advice and consent of the Senate (rather than the Secretary of the Interior). Requires the Director to have had professional experience in park, recreation, and resource management, and to have demonstrated an appreciation for and commitment to the preservation of natural and cultural resources.
Specifies that such requirements shall apply to appointments made after the date of enactment of this Act.
