A bill to provide for research in the diagnosis, prevention, and control of malignant tumors in domestic animals, poultry and wildlife.
Animal Cancer Research Act - Directs the Secretary of Agriculture to conduct a program of basic research on cancer in animals and birds at Department of Agriculture facilities or by grants to other qualified facilities. Requires the Secretary and the Director of the National Institutes of Health to annually review such research program in order to coordinate the program with the National Cancer Institute research program.
Authorizes appropriations for fiscal years 1982 through 1986 to carry out this Act. Limits funds which may be obligated for research at facilities of such Department to 30 percent of the funds appropriated in any fiscal year.
