A bill to amend title XVI of the Social Security Act to increase the amount of the supplemental security income benefit payable to individuals in certain institutions.

Amends title XVI (Supplemental Security Income) of the Social Security Act to: (1) increase from $300 to $360 the annual SSI benefit payable to a beneficiary who is an inmate of a hospital, extended care facility, nursing home, or intermediate care facility; and (2) increase from $600 to $780 the annual SSI benefit payable to a beneficiary with an eligible spouse if both are inmates of a hospital, extended care facility, nursing home, or intermediate care facility.
