A bill to stimulate the conversion to wide-spread use of fuel-efficient gasohol mixes by providing a financial incentive to States and localities which convert all or part of their automotive fleets to such mixes.
Public Vehicle Gasohol Incentive Act of 1979 - Amends the State and Local Fiscal Assistance Act of 1972 to direct the Secretary of Transportation to establish a program of grants to States for converting State and local government-owned vehicles to the use of gasohol.
Authorizes the appropriation of $125,000,000 for fiscal year 1980 to carry out the purpose of this Act.
