Authorizes the President to provide for U.S. participation in Energy-Expo 82 which is to be held in Knoxville, Tennessee. Authorizes the President, through the Secretary of Commerce, to organize, develop, and administer such exposition in accordance with U.S. and international regulations concerning international expositions.
Authorizes the appointment of a Commissioner General of the United States Government for Energy-Expo 82 (the senior Federal official) and a Commissioner General of Section for U.S. participation at such exposition (director of the U.S. pavilion), both of whom shall be in the Department of Commerce. Sets forth the powers of the Secretary with respect to such exposition. Requires the Secretary to report to Congress after the close of such exposition concerning Federal activities.
Provides for the disposition of Federal property at the close of such exposition. Exempts the functions authorized by this Act from specified statutory requirements in specified circumstances.
