Directs any Member, officer, or employee of the House of Representatives to comply with any subpoena or judicial order relating to official functions, or disclosure of documents, of the House. Requires such persons to promptly notify the Speaker of the House of such subpoena or order for a determination of whether such subpoena or order is a proper exercise of the court's jurisdiction, is material and relevant, and is consistent with the privileges and rights of the House.
Prohibits: (1) compliance with such subpoena upon adoption of a resolution that the subpoena is not proper; and (2) disclosure of any minutes or transcripts and evidence of witnesses to executive sessions.
Directs the Clerk of the House to transmit a copy of this resolution to the appropriate court upon the issuance and service of such subpoena.
Provides procedures for compliance with this resolution when the House is recessed or adjourned.
Makes provisions of this resolution applicable to subpoenas served on or after its enactment.
