Establishes the Long Island Sound Heritage in Connecticut and New York. Designates specified areas to be considered for initial inclusion in the Heritage.
Requires the publishing in the Federal Register of a detailed description of the lands being considered for inclusion in the Heritage. Directs the Secretary of the Interior to maintain close coordination with relevant Federal, State, local and private interests in the development of detailed plans for the acquisition, development and management of the Heritage.
