A bill to amend title XVI of the Social Security Act to provide that increases in social security benefits shall be disregarded in determining an individual's eligibility for supplemental security income benefits, and to provide that support and maintenance furnished a mentally retarded individual living in another person's household shall not constitute income to him for supplemental security income benefit purposes.

Amends title XVI (Supplemental Security Income for the Aged, Blind, and Disabled) of the Social Security Act to provide that 1974 Social Security benefit increases shall be disregarded in determining an individual's eligibility for supplemental security income benefits. Eliminates support and maintenance furnished a mentally retarded individual living in another person's household from that individual's unearned income for supplemental security income benefit purposes.
