A bill to provide for a full assay, inventory, and audit of the gold reserves of the United States, and for other purposes.
Gold Reserve Integrity Act of 1979 - Directs the Secretary of the Treasury to conduct a full assay, inventory, and audit of United States gold reserves along with an analysis of the sufficiency of the security measures in effect to protect such reserves.
Requires that the General Accounting Office review the results of such study and report its findings to the Congress.
