International Travel Act of 1979 - Authorizes the Secretary of Commerce to: (1) develop and recommend policies designed to stimulate and encourage travel to the United States by residents of foreign countries; (2) encourage travel to and from the United States on United States carriers; (3) encourage the simplification or elimination of barriers to international travel; and (4) collect and publish statistics and technical information relating to international travel and tourism.
