A bill to authorize the Secretaries of the military departments to retain on active duty or to return to active duty certain disabled members and former members of the armed forces.

Allows any member or former member of the armed forces who is suffering from a service-connected disability to be retained on active duty or returned to such duty if the Secretary of the military department concerned finds that such action would serve both the best interests of the individual involved and the military department concerned.

Places restrictions on such active duty assignments.
